National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, April 13 - 19
This week, we proudly celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week! Behind every emergency response is a calm, steady voice guiding the way - our Romulus dispatchers. These dedicated professionals are the first point of contact in a crisis, providing life-saving support before help even arrives. They are unseen heroes, working 24/7 to keep our community safe. Romulus Public Safety Foundation extends our heartfelt gratitude for our public safety dispatchers. Their service, strength, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, May 1 - 31
This month, we recognize the need for mental health resources to our first reponders. RPSF and Police and Fire Unions have teamed up to help introduce FST5 Frontline Strong Together to our first responders. FST5 is a crisis and support resource for first responders and their families. Staffed by first responders trained as crisis specialists - people who understand duty challenges. They are available day and night.
If you are experiencing any crisis - work related, substance abuse, depression, relationships, financial or any other, reach out by calling 833-347-8766 (24/7/365). Free and confidential support for FIRST RESPONDERS.

Saluting our Firefighting Heroes - International Firefighters’ Day, May 4th
The May 4, the Romulus Public Safety Foundation invites our community to join us in honoring the courageous men and women of the Romulus Fire Department in recognition of International Firefighter’s Day.
From battling flames to saving lives, our firefighters exemplify bravery, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to public safety. Today and everyday, we thank them for answering the call - no matter the hour or danger.
Let’s show our appreciation for the Romulus Fire Department and remember all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The Romulus Public Safety Foundation proudly joins our community in recognizing National Police Week, a time to honor the brave men and women of the Romulus Police Department who protect and serve with courage, integrity, and unvwavering dedication.
This week, we celebrate their commitment to keeping our neighborhoods save and express our heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifices they make every day. Honoring our Lifesaving Heroes - National EMS Week, May 18 - 24
During National EMS Week, the Romulus Public Safety Foundation proudly recognizes the incredible Emergency Medical Services (EMS) professionals who serve our community with skill, compassion, and resilience.
From responding to medical emergencies to providing critical care when every second counts, EMS personnel are the lifeline of our public safety system. This week, we salute the dedicated EMT’s and paramedics of Romulus who work tirelessly to save lives and bring comfort in times of crisis.
